The problem: NHLWO runs a rotating monthly sale, and the look for these sales didn't follow any real branding, making it difficult for customers to recognize the brand and access pertinent information easily
The solve: Coming up with the foundation of a brand for NHLWO as a whole. By pivoting to think of the monthly sales as a series of sales within a full, ongoing campaign, I was able to move away from the seemingly random, disconnected designs for the sales up to that point. I developed a design structure that each month would follow that would visually place it as a piece among many, but to have unique aspects to set it apart as its own entity. The intent was for each established campaign to be used for a calendar year, then evolved, and I've been able to implement that, learning what works and what doesn't and applying that knowledge to the following year's design. The challenging part was developing a campaign that was sprawling: it appears as in-store posters, in-store promotional videos, Facebook and Instagram channel graphics, email communications, Google display ads, affiliate digital ads, NHLWO website graphics, and various print ad inserts.
